When I see an old couple walking hand in hand or dance together to a love song looking into each other’s eyes, it brings tears to my eyes. I just wonder what it must feel like to have lived with each other for years and years and cherished a lifetime of love and togetherness. It makes me wonder what it would be like to grow old looking at the same face every morning or looking at the same face every night at the dinner table. I wonder how much pain they must have endured together and how much love they must have cherished over the years. I feel it surely must have been true, faithful and honest kind of love. The kind of love you never want to give up on. And they must be the kind of lovers who want to live together and want to die together. It fills me up with a desire to be someone’s everlasting love..
